Raised and residing in Milwaukee, WI, Kid Cut Up has been honing his unique, dance-floor-packing style at over 300 events a year for the past decade. The city’s best-known and most well respected DJ, Cut Up has developed a loyal following and helped many of Milwaukee’s most popular clubs get their jump. Cut Up’s dedication to his craft has culminated in a personal style that encompasses exclusive cross-genre remixes, turntablist skills and crowd interaction.
Laying claim to up to 5 weekly residencies at any given time, Kid Cut Up never sleeps. Traveling extensively, he has performed at notable venues such as The Dime (LA), duckduck (NY), Subterranean (CHI), Lava (CHI), Funky Buddha Lounge (CHI), Honey (MIN), the Pabst Theatre (MKE), Redbull events across the Midwest, Summerfest, Scribble Jam and has appeared at all four meetings of Soundset, to name just a few; in that time he has performed with Z-Trip, N.E.R.D., Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Young Guru, Pitbull and others.
Known for his “Club Soda” series of mixtapes, Kid Cut Up developed the official promotional mix for Common’s album “Universal Mind Control,” and authored the official Scribble Jam Festival Mix for 2008. A recovering workaholic, he also burns daylight creating original remixes which he uses to elevate his live performances; his release, “Super Mix,” is comprised almost exclusively of proprietary remixes and unprecedented blends. The fruit of this labor has been featured in a variety of outlets, including, most notably, Kanye West’s blog “Univercity,” as well as websites like datpiff.com, 2dopeboyz.com and onSmash.com. His latest joint, “The Rapture Mix,” is also available for download on KidCutUp.com.

And as if this weren’t enough for any one man, Kid Cut Up co-hosts a weekly radio show, “The Mad Kids,” on WMSE 91.7 in his home town. One of the most popular showcases on air in the Brew City, Kid Cut Up brings underground and old school hip-hop to the forefront for three solid hours each Tuesday night.
Having recently decided to move to Los Angeles to avoid another Midwestern Winter, Kid Cut Up plans to move forward with a rigorous traveling schedule in an effort to bring his fresh, innovative style to crowds across the country.
